The Orenda Prophecy - Chapter 1

The very seed of The Orenda Prophecy was planted over ten years ago, during a quiet evening spent at the ritual of washing dishes. As twilight settled and I stared out the window, my imagination, as always, began to wander. A vision seized me: an ordinary boy suddenly discovering that he was not who he thought he was, but that he hailed from a magical world, hidden in plain sight within our own. From that single image, the world, its people, and the protagonist's destiny began to take shape. Intricate magical elements bloomed, weaving the complex tapestry of the story you now hold.

This book has been a constant companion, its narrative weaving organically through the years. Pieces were added in snatched, magical moments between working, being a mother, and a wife, until it blossomed into the expansive journey it is today. Interestingly, for a long time, the book carried a different name - that of its main character - until 2024, when it finally became The Orenda Prophecy.

I am, of course, biased, but this novel holds a truly special place in my heart. It is not simply because it is my first novel; it is the profound joy of witnessing these characters evolve. Writing their journey, from the innocence of the first chapter to the complex individuals they become by the last, feels akin to watching a child grow and finally awaken to their own immense power.
